Boost your Immunity with Bone Broth

From winter germs to general wellbeing, bone broth is well known as a delicious source of nutrient dense goodness for the entire family. A recipe as old as time, bone broth has been used for centuries across the world as an immune booster.

Today we will show you how to craft this liquid gold using your very own Strucket Mini and it’s even easier than you might think.

1 whole chicken on the frame
Olive Oil
1 Celery bunch cut into large pieces
2 carrots, died
2 onions, sliced
4 Cloved Garlic
1 Parsley root (alternatively, choose parsnip for a similar flavour)
Black peppercorns to taste
2-3 Bay leaves
¼ cup Apple Cider Vinegar
8 Litres Water

Step 1

In a large pot, brown the chicken with olive oil

Step 2

Add remaining ingredients, bringing to the boil. Once boiling, turn down to a simmer for 8 hours. Alternatively, place ingredients into a slow cooker.

Step 3

Remove the chicken and allow to cool slightly (to touch).

Step 4

Remove chicken meat from the frame and set aside in the fridge for a future meal.

Step 5

Strain the remaining broth from the vegetables using your Mini.

Pour broth into jars and refrigerate, or pour the broth into muffin trays and freeze.
